One of the Quaintest 15th century Inns in England

The Green Dragon Inn is a friendly, family run inn located in the beautiful English village of Wymondham (pronounced windham) close to the Cathedral city of Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and only a short drive from the coast.

Summer evenings can be spent relaxing in our garden. Cold winter evenings in the bar enhanced by the cosy warmth of a traditional wood-burning stove.

This wonderful 15th century timbered building once belonged to the nearby abbey. Legend has it that an ancient tunnel used to run between the two buildings and the monks used to be frequent patrons.

We have three recently-redecorated and refurbished en-suite bedrooms, two double and one twin offering the comforts of home, i.e. TV, tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms are non smoking and we do not allow pets in the rooms.

The Green Dragon has a very good reputation for its traditional English home-cooked food, which can be enjoyed either in the dining room, in the bar or al fresco in the superb seclusion of our sunny gardens (weather permitting!!). The quality cuisine can be complimented with one of our superb beers or lagers or with one of the wines from our extensive wine list.
